This month’s top 10 games ranking features several gaming platforms that do not have native tokens tied to the gameplay. While some might view this as a negative point, it turns out that when prices are falling, having a token is not such a good thing. SPLINTERLANDS managed to take the top spot thanks to a 7.2% increase in the valuation of its native token SPS. Unfortunately, this is one of the few gaming projects to see positive price action in the past 30 days.

1. Splinterlands
Splinterlands snatches the top spot this month thanks to a solid user base of 562,730 unique active wallets registered in the past 30 days. The game also saw its native token SPS gain over 7% in valuation, a rare sight in the present bearish market. The announcement of SPS Validator Nodes coming in the next few months possibly played a role in this.
2. Alien Worlds
Alien Worlds ranks second this month despite attracting over 889,000 unique active users. The platform ranks as the most visited gaming dapp of the month. However, a 29% drop in the valuation of its native token TLM robbed Alien Worlds from the top spot.
3. Sunflower Land
Polygon-based Sunflower Land is taking the play-to-earn world by storm. The game opened its beta version to all members in April. This brought in more than 150,000 unique active wallets and over $648,000 in NFT trading volume.
4. Farmers World
BSC-based Farmers World continues to attract a solid user base with more than 190,000 unique active wallets registered in April. The game also secured more than $430,000 in NFT trading volume, making it one of the most traded collections on BSC.
5. Aavegotchi
Aavegtochi shines bright this April with the recent launch of its virtual world called the Gotchiverse. Despite losing some value when it comes to its native token GHST, the game attracted over 73,000 unique active wallets in the past 30 days.
6. Upland
EOS-based Upland continues dominating the virtual real estate sector of the blockchain gaming space. The game registered over 271,000 unique active wallets in the past month, making it the most visited dapp on the EOS blockchain.
7. Mobox
BSC farming platform Mobox continues on its road to success. This April, the game attracted over 227,000 unique active wallets. Despite a 14.5% drop in the price of its native token MBOX, the NFT farming platform still makes the cut, ranking seventh this month.
8. WorldWideWebb
WorldWideWebb scrapes into the April ranking at the eighth place as the first virtual world to make it to the monthly list. One of the saving graces for the platform is the lack of a native token tied to its in-game mechanics. Big competitors the Sandbox and Decentraland did not even make the cut this month because of staggering price drops for their respective native tokens.
9. Blockchain Brawlers
Wax-based arena battle game Blockchain Brawlers is steadily gaining popularity. The game launched earlier this year and it has seen a wave of interest. More than 7,000 brawler wallets tried their skills, while the game generated over $6 million in NFT trading volume.
10. NFT Worlds
NFT Worlds is the last platform making the cut this month. Despite generating more than $14 million in NFT trading volume, the virtual world barely made it into the list. Last week we saw NFT Worlds at the top, however, the thirty-day performance of its native token WRLD is disappointing, to say the least. The platform saw the price of WRLD drop by over 43%.

Trading card game Splinterlands is in a constant battle with the main competitor Alien Worlds when it comes to the number of unique active wallets the games attract. However, looking at the wider range of factors affecting a game’s performance, Splinterlands seems to be dominating.
The positive trend SPS has seen in the past thirty days is more than poignant. Seeing the green line on the backdrop of an industry-wide bearish trend is telling of the robust performance Splinterlands is offering to its players.
