Revolut Banking App Lists Dogecoin Due to Increased Demand

Revolut banking app has added Dogecoin to the 29 cryptocurrencies available on the platform. Now, Revolut customers will be able to conduct Dogecoin transactions on their banking app.

According to the bank’s head of crypto, Ed Cooper, the decision to support DOGE is fueled by the increased demand for the digital asset. The bank executive stated:

“One of the most popular user requests over the past couple of months has been to add Dogecoin, and we have answered the call. We have just launched Dogecoin in-app. So now keen crypto customers and those new to the game can buy and sell this popular token.”

Over the last few months, the value of Dogecoin has surged significantly as Elon Musk continuously praises the asset. At press time, DOGE is the 6th largest cryptocurrency with a market value of nearly $43 billion. The asset is down 5.24% to $0.331.

Revolut’s announcement is coming one week after COINBASE allowed Coinbase Pro users to trade the digital asset.
