The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltmore’s Outer Harbor collapsed overnight on Tuesday, March 26.
Dramatic CCTV footage captured the moment the bridge over Baltimore Harbor fell just before 1:30 am local time on Tuesday after a livestream showed a ship colliding with the bridge.
Baltimore City Fire confirmed to WBAL NewsRadio that rescuer crews were attempting to save at least 7 people believed to be in the Patapsco River. An unknown number of vehicles were in the water, the fire service said.
The Maryland Transportation Authority said all lanes of I-695 were closed to traffic.
