Mysterious Collections and Otherdeed Flips in the Top 10 NFT Sales This Week

The second week of May brings us a list of mysterious collections attracting top sales and a lot of interesting action around Yuga Labs’ Otherside virtual world. The top spot in the charts this week goes to “Beyond”, which sold for an impressive 297.2 ETH or more than $700,000.

Interestingly, there’s only one CryptoPunk ranking high enough in the sales charts. CryptoPunk #7569 ranks tenth after switching owners for 190 ETH, or about $386,000. Two Bored Apes also have new homes. BAYC #1725 ranks second this week, after a 250 ETH sale, and BAYC #7265 switched owners for 200 ETH, or about $403,000.

Check out the full list of top sales below, or enjoy the handy video summary for a quick view.

The mysterious DotsCountryClub

Three of this week’s top sales come from collections that are not usually featured in this ranking. Traditionally the top NFT sales ranking is dominated by CryptoPunks, Bored Apes, and Art Blocks. However, this week we see the DotsCountryClub collection take precedence with “Beyond” and “Him”.

Beyond” takes the top spot attracting a $700,000 sale, while “Him” ranks third after raking in over $500,000 for the seller. Impressively, these are the first sales for both NFTs since they were originally created and dropped by the DotsCountryClub owner.

Another rather intriguing detail is that the DotsCountryClub collection is a complete mystery. The collection does not have any social media presence or even an official website. This might be interpreted as a red flag. On the other hand, the mysterious touch might be what added value for the buyers. DappRadar will keep an eye out for DotsCountryClub, a collection of only 7 NFTs with an unknown creator and a nonexistent virtual presence, except for its OpenSea page

Otherside flips generate profit

Another interesting point to note regarding this week’s top 10 NFT sales is the sale of

Otherdeed #58794. This NFT made it to the list twice with two major sales in the past seven days.

This wallet, which purchased the land NFT for 165 ETH 6 days ago, flipped it a mere two days later, bagging over 20 ETH in profit. Otherdeed #58794 comes with Koda #9902 which might be the factor helping attract such high-value sales.

Otherdeed #72208 was also flipped after only two weeks. The first buyer purchased it for 166 ETH and flipped it for 179.95 ETH fourteen days later. That’s a profit of 13.95 ETH, or about $28,000 at current prices.

Impressively, despite the bearish market trends NFTs still manage to offer a quick buck. Maybe collections like Yuga Labs’ Otherdeeds have a bigger potential in this aspect, but only time will tell.
