Those who work remotely love it – 99% of those who work from home would like to remain working remotely, at least part time, for the rest of their lives. Remote work can benefit employees as it removes distractions such as office drama, it can improve concentration, and can reduce stress. It also allows an employee to have more wiggle room as when they are working remotely, they can live anywhere they want, spend more time with family, and avoid wasting any time commuting. Remote work also saves employees money – the average remote worker saves $4,000 annually from saving money in dry cleaning, lunches and coffee, gas, and vehicle maintenance.
Companies also benefit from their workers working remotely. Employee satisfaction is higher with remote workers – remote workers are 28% happier than on-site workers. The attrition rate for those who work remotely is also lower as 55% of remote workers would be likely to look for another job if they could no longer work remotely.
