EVAI Trading Challenge New Update – Results from September 8th to 29th.

Here comes the third week of our trading challenge using the EVAI platform. If you missed our first-week update, just get it over here.

Amateur Investment Strategy Using Ratings from EVAI

Andrej here. I’m spearheading the amateur investment strategy and I must admit – even paper trading can be hard and stressful. I would like to share with you my investment journey over the last 2 weeks. This is our strategy:

  • We are selecting coins from the top 150 by their current rating.
  • We’re looking at those that jump from Bs into As in their current or 7 days rating – the bigger the jump, the better.
  • With the ranking going up, we want those whose price remains the same or is going down.
  • We do a further check looking at the 30 days rating to confirm the upward trend.
  • We divide USD 5,000 equally into 5 coins (USD 1,000 into each) using the method above and then close it when the ratings change.

As you can see from our previous report I bagged a 16% increase the first week. In the following two weeks, I closed another 2 positions. Now I’m on a 44% increase of my initial capital. Here’s the good, the bad, and the ugly:

  • $XSN – I bought at a price valley. But I was too greedy waiting for the price to go even higher. Then it suddenly tanked as well as a rating. It went under my buying price and I was afraid to sell it. Now I’m waiting for the price to recover. The rating shows promise because it just went from B3 to B1.
  • $PRE – Moved in when rating went from A3 to A2 on 8th September. Then the rating oscillated between A2-A3. So on 28th September, I decided my profit was enough and I closed the position with 57% profit.
  • $CDT – Bought it when it reached the #1 spot from the entire A2 category (best rating) on 9th November. I sold it on 28th September because it stayed with an A2 rating all the time. I felt like it was time to take my profit of 81%!
  • $AST – It turned out that I bought this one too high. Initially, I held it, then the ranking increased by 1 level. I wanted more profit, but then the price went down slightly below my buying price with the rating staying the same. After some time both rating and price came down suddenly, but I was too afraid to take a loss. I’m thinking about closing this position and moving on.
  • $UBT – I think I misjudged the buying signal on this one. I came in on 12th September, when it had the highest rating (#1 spot in the A2 ranking category). But looking back it seems that this was a sell signal because it was one of the highest prices in the last 17 days. Now I’m thinking about cutting off the losses and moving on.

Trading Results From 8th Until 29th September:

  • Starting portfolio – USD 5,000
  • Current portfolio value – USD 7,213
  • Profit – 44.3%

Professional Investment Strategy Using Ratings from EVAI

Just for the recap, here’s our strategy:

  • We will select coins that have made a significant move in ratings (1-3 points).
  • Volume of those coins will be monitored.
  • We will identify the support and resistance zone for long/short.
  • RSI and Fibonacci retracements and extensions will be used to figure out suitable entry and exit points.
  • We will open leverage positions.

Pratik in doing a great job. Here you can see the breakdown of his positions:

  • $REN – Opened REN long position on 8th Sept with a 5X leverage position as it was in the A2 rating and closed it on 20th Sept when the rating dropped from A2 to A3.

  • $IOTA – Opened IOTA long position on 8th Sept with a 5X leverage position as it moved from A3 to A2 rating and closed it on 10th Sept since we couldnt track IOTA on Evai anymore.
